The 2018 Winter Games have kicked off in PyeongChang, South Korea. They’ll run until Sunday, February 25.
The Olympics date back centuries into Greek history but the first official Olympic games that we know of was on April 6, 1896. The International Olympic Committee met for the first time in Paris in June 1894 and chose Greece as the site of the inaugural modern Olympiad.
