Keeping Loved Ones in Mind During the Holidays

In Pennsylvania, we’ve seen stay-at-home advisories and orders since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the end of the year upon us and the new restrictions Gov. Tom Wolf officially ordered on Dec. 10, this is just a simple reminder to keep your loved ones in mind during this time -- especially loved ones who are widowed, elderly, single or new parents.

Holidays are typically a time to be with your loved ones, but this year has made that tradition extra difficult to continue. However, in this day and age, giving someone a call or shooting someone a text can be done with just a touch of a screen.

You may have seen reports of people struggling with their mental health, especially this year. Sometimes all it takes is a simple, “How are you?” to change someone’s day and to let them know they’re remembered. A holiday card, a phone call, FaceTime or a text are just some options to remind your loved ones they are your loved ones.

Happy holidays!
