Lunch Date?

Lunch Date?

Recently, my co-worker bought me lunch.

As I slipped through our lobby area, my friend and co-worker, Dayna, with her charming personality, offered me lunch.

Dayna had a full course meal -- complete with green beans, roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, ginger-glazed carrots, sweet potato pie and even stuffing.

What? It must be Thanksgiving! I had to say yes, of course. Yes, yes, yes. I never knew Dayna was a magical chef, able to pull all that together so early in the morning -- and on a workday no less.

Wrong.
It was candy corn. That’s right, candy corn.

Apparently, the candy companies are emulating the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory storyline in which they offer a three-course meal in a stick of gum.

Although I was unable to try each and every flavor because I had enough after just one, we went through the office for reviews. (NyQuil may be more appealing to my taste buds than these colorful pieces of candy corn.)

I cannot endorse or recommend them as your Halloween treat giveaway, but it sure may make for a fun Halloween trick!

Because I believe you should always point out the positive, here it goes: The good news is there were no dishes to be done. (See? There’s always something good in everything.)

So, concluding my lunchtime review, the meal got a thumbs down. On the bright side? Dayna, we will always share the giggles you bring, so, overall, it was a win. We owe you!
