Thanking Your Local Delivery Drivers

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people and businesses have had to change their ways of operating and completing daily tasks/errands. Those who have stepped up big time during these trying months have been local delivery drivers.

While the majority of the population stays at home, these USPS, UPS, FedEx and Amazon drivers are out delivering your mail, food and packages. Due to the stay-at-home orders/mandates, their typical routes and number of packages per shift have almost quadrupled during the last year. I began seeing pictures and videos on social media of baskets of snacks, water and juice pouches being left on the front porches of homes with little thank you notes for these delivery drivers. My fiancé and I decided to take part in this thankful trend and, honestly, I’m so happy we did. Here is what we put in a basket, along with a note that read, “Please take a little something for the road as our way of saying thank you.”

-          Water bottles

-          Juice pouches

-          Granola bars

-          Fruit snacks

-          Mini bags of chips

Even though sometimes they cannot be thanked in person, I hope they know they are appreciated.

Thank you, delivery drivers!
