Almost Heaven is the perfect term for the “Friendly City” of Wheeling during the holiday season. My opinion may be slightly biased since I have not spent the Christmas season anywhere else. Everyone in the city seems to fully embrace the holiday season. My fondest holiday memories always happened tucked in the hills of beautiful West Virginia. Smelling my grandma’s fresh baked sugar cookies; splattering the countertops with holiday colored icing; building snowmen and sled riding.
My favorite holiday tradition is seeing the lights. Wheeling is famous for Oglebay’s magnificent display for the Festival of Lights. There is nothing better than a playlist full of Holiday music and driving through the lights. I’m excited to see how the 3D Glasses add a new layer of fantastic to the already incredible lights.
