Phipps v. Exterran, et al.

Corporate negligence killed Bruce Phipps at a Tyler County, West Virginia natural gas “pigging” station. He suffered burns over almost his entire body. Bordas & Bordas’ Scott Blass led a comprehensive investigation uncovering company records, emails, text messages and other information that proved the company knew of the serious dangers at the facility, but failed to address them, costing Mr. Phipps his life.

The ultimate recovery of $18 million, negotiated by managing partner Jamie Bordas, is believed to be one of the largest ever recovered on behalf of a single Plaintiff in West Virginia history.
